The Cochrane Collaboration Reviews Effectiveness of Legislative Smoking Bans

A new review released by the Cochrane Collaboration finds that legislative smoking bans have achieved their primary objective of reducing exposure to secondhand smoke. The review covered 50 studies, 31 studies relating to the exposure to secondhand smoke and 19 studies measuring its biomarkers. The studies examined the effects of clean air legislation in countries, states and regional areas.
