South East Asia Regional Strategy on birth defects

The South-East Asia Regional Office (SEARO) of the World Health Organization (WHO) is developing a Regional Strategy to address the issue of birth defects in the Region with support from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The Regional Strategy would provide guidance to member countries to evolve national programmes and strategies for prevention of birth defects to reduce morbidity and mortality among newborns and children.

Burke Fishburn will provide expertise to WHO SEARO for strategic planning and workplan development expertise, liaison between WHO/SEARO and CDC, meeting planning and facilitation, meeting presentations, birth defects surveillance training and writing and editing.
